Hurricane Gustav has driven crude prices to USD 119 per barrel. Crude witnessed volatility with a tug of war between higher dollar and hurricane Gustav. Concerns are that Gustav could hit major oil operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Drop in gasoline demand on a yearonyear basis was also a factor, adding in weak data from US and Europe.
