The new Premier Rio is the cheapest SUV in India from the Premier Auto , the makers of the old-time popular the Premier Padmini car.

The new Premier Rio is made by the Chinese automobile company the Zotye Automobile.



This is the first chinese made four-wheeler vehicle in India.



The Premier Rio parts will be imported from China by the Premier auto and will be assembled in its Pune plant.

The base model of the new Premier Rio SUV car will be around Rs.5,00,000 in India,which is about Rs.1.5 lakh cheaper the the present cheapest SUV ,the Mahindra Scorpio.
The top model,with additional safety features like air bags and anti-lock braking systems (ABS), will be priced around Rs.7,00,000 in India.

Premier Auto will use its four-cylinder,65 bhp, 1.5 diesel engine in the Premier Rio.The Premier Rio SUV car will have smaller size than the Mahindra Scorpio.
